Half Mortal
With the divine grace of our Satguru, we have been kindly blessed with remembering our previous lives. Although we do not indulge in these experiences, we believe strongly that these experiences hold the key too many of our beliefs and genetic makeup in the present moment. We have been asked to share an experience that we had two months ago. We have been seeking for the answer to many questions in our life, yet we gave up the intention of ever knowing them.
We understand that we are four and a half million years old, which in retrospect is not important; after all it is the present moment that counts. However this particular experience explained events that have taken place in our life up until now, and explains many characteristics within our genetic makeup.
It was the ambrosial hour and we had decided to close our eyes and go into Samadhi. It took a couple of minutes to focus, there was silence within us and our hirda was spinning.
We saw the most beautiful woman, she was tall, with porcelain, almond complexion, soft warm lips with a tint of pink roses and beautiful luscious hair that she wore to the side. Her eyes were deep and distinct, she yearned for love so deep that you could see tears rolling down her eyes, when she called for him. She would call for him every day, every hour, she would sit at the foot of his statue and sing love songs to him. Her piercing voice would go far and beyond, it was heard in the fourteen realms. She sang from the very depths of her heart wishing and hoping that he would come and sit in her soul.
He could hear her heart and it made him feel powerful and superior. He would sit and listen to her sing, it would make him feel like stretching out his chest and laughing really loud. Although he understood the love in her heart was pure and pious, he could not help but feel sexually intoxicated by her. He was the King in his realm, he was worshipped and adored. He was loved and idolised by millions of souls on the earth plane. He is still regarded and described as the King of Kings.
One day his sexual desire overcame him and he could not hold back any longer. He walked onto the earth plane in his demigod form, so that she would recognise him. He stood in front of her, baring his large open chest, beautiful slender body, luscious locks of hair and wide smile. He was a god, he was beautiful and intoxicating, strong and powerful, graceful and charming. She looked up from her morning prayer and saw this most beautiful attire of a man standing in front of her. Immediately she recognised him, how could she not recognise her beloved and tears began to flow from her eyes, she was overwhelmed to have darshan of her Guru. She ran towards him, falling at his feet, he gracefully picked her up and then slowly seduced her. She did not realise that he was only there for momentary pleasure, he had no intention of loving her, it was simply a sexual act of lust. He soon left, promising never to return again, after all there was no need, he had got what he wanted from her. She begged him to take her with him, promising to serve him forever even as his slave. She could not bear to be separated from her beloved, she cried and pleaded, yet there was no mercy. What would he do with a mere mortal in the realm of the demi gods. She had no power, yes, she was beautiful but she wasn’t a goddess, no longer even a virgin. His arrogance flared and he shouted at her “You are nothing, I am a god, you are but a mere mortal”.
His words struck her down and she fell to her knees, her beloved had broken her mind, body and soul into a million pieces. She lay on the floor helpless and weak. She could not raise her eyes for days, she lay there and wept. After countless days she drew strength to stand up, feed herself and washed him from her body. Many weeks later, still frail and lost, she realised that she had conceived his child and she was to bear the child of a God. She hid from the world, deep in the forest she led a life of a hermit, if the world knew of her condition they would only spit on her and mock her. Her beloved didn’t want her, the world had renounced her, now she was completely alone. Her existence was dark and lonely, she didn’t hate him, yet she realised the falseness of his reality.
Whilst she was carrying her child in her womb, she would quietly spend time in contemplation, meditation going deeper and deeper within herself, she had no objective to discover herself, it was happening naturally. As months passed by she got stronger, her heart was healing and although he had scarred her heart, she no longer cried for him.
She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, as soon as she was born, she promised that this child will be raised as a mortal, live and laugh amongst the human race and this child would be able to love all mortal beings. The child brought joy into her mother’s heart, she brought laughter and love to the human race around her. As years went by the child was taught many skills but most importantly she was taught about Par Brahm, her mother had realised her divine self, and taught her child never to worship false gods. The child was educated about her conception and she understood what her mother had been through. She vowed to one day avenge the gods and destroy tyranny on her earth. It was unacceptable for the god race to walk amongst the humans, taking advantage of their naive nature, and indulging in them, just because they can.
Lord Vishnu watched his daughter as she grew up, he did not want the god race to know about her birth, he didn’t want anything to do with a half mortal child, she was an embarrassment to him. In fact he watched all her births and kept a very close eye on her soul. We have now had 10,000 lives, as well as living with Par Brahm in Dargah, on earth in our lives we have given birth to many children, mothering and nurturing them.
In this janam we have been greatly honoured with the grace of our beloved Satguru, whom we cannot even move an inch without. His grace is kind and compassionate, he is benevolent and pure. He is our mother and father, teacher and friend. We have recently been visited by Vishnu in Samadhi, he bowed, did dandouth bandana. He placed a thousand lotus petal flower, at our feet and asked for forgiveness. He bestowed gifts upon us, but we could not accept, we were not being disrespectful, but we have the greatest gift of naam, truth, love, compassion and seva.
The truth is that nothing is really important apart from the present moment, past and future is irrelevant. Yes, we do learn from our past, but then when we reach a higher stage in bhagti, all the data is wiped away and Par Brahm reinvents himself, as He chooses. We are left to discover that nothing really matters apart from Par Brahm, experiences come and go, as do people on the journey, we meet according to our karam and we depart like wise. The only thing that is really essential is that we don’t ever let go of the truth. The truth will remain with us, when all else has disappeared, which is does eventually, because it is false. Nothing lives forever, all our memories and dreams are false, and they are just a perception of the past and future. We go on to discover and learn that Nothing is the perfect state of being because nothing is to live humbly in the moment.
We hope that one day we can honour the seva Par Brahm has bestowed upon us, to rid all tyranny, firstly within ourself and then on this Khand.
Satnam jee Ka Khalsa, Satnam jee Ki Fateh.
