Celebrating The Buddha in Nature – Buddha Consciousness
‘I believe in God, only I spell it Nature’ – Frank Lloyd Wright
The Ancient earth based cultures and the Wise Ways of the Old, Shamans, those who walked the planet before us, revered the Divinity in nature, they celebrated life and the process of creation. They knew that to live in balance and harmony with nature was both an aspect of worship, environmentalism and ecology. They cherished, revered and respected the earth. They were the custodians and care takers of all life form and ensured that the water, soil, plants and animals were treated with gratitude. Material progression, the emergence of the Age of the Machine, our sugar coated, plastic patent culture, generations bought up on cardboard food, designer coffee and designer furniture, visually bombarded by air brushed models. The era of genetically modified food, plastic perceptions a digital world full of superficial cyber communications. A society that deems looking good more important than doing good.
Why are so many disconnected with the Earth and Life ? When the human body is a microcosm of the elements in nature. In Chinese medicine the body is composed of the elements, wood, fire, earth, metal and water. In Aurvedyic medicine the body is known to be made of the five tatwas, earth, air, water, fire and the universe. The sun and the moon control the left and right sides of the brain. We draw in energy from the sun through the head, the sun stimulates the glands and the brain. Hair is made up of the metal silicone, and transmits an electrical charge through out the body.
‘The same energy is in the moon, the sun, the stars, the rock, the leaf, the tree.’ – Baba Ji
The human body is composed predominantly of water, the Wise Elders knew that to pollute the water would inevitably create destruction in the whole lifecycle, create disease and famine. The initiate can access the potent power of water and harness it to heal, replenish and revitalize the body temple. First of all being in a state of gratitude towards water. Research by Dr Emotos shows that projecting thoughts of love, gratitude and appreciation towards water, changes the molecular structure. Water that was blessed depicted beautiful snowflake crystalline symmetrical patterns, in comparison to water that was bombarded with negative statements. Secondly, keeping the body sufficiently hydrated to remove toxins, and keep the cells and brain hydrated. We cannot sit, focus and concentrate in meditation if our brain is feeling fatigued. Thirdly, we ensure that our diet is predominantly nutrient dense, alkaline and water based. Fourthly, we can take detoxifying baths in rock salt to draw out the impurities and toxins, as well as the negativity in the chakras and the energetic system. As the pollutants are cleansed it leaves the electromagnetic field feeling charged and cleansed. Visiting the sea also has the same effect due the negative ions charging the atmosphere. The atmosphere after a rainstorm also feels charged because of the negative ions. Baba Ji explains that, ’The seven colours of the rainbow relate to the seven colours of the chakras.’ The colours being red, orange, yellow, green blue and violet, the body being the prism, the colours unify and coagulate into One unifying light. The energy centres also resonate a sound frequency. Each chakra resonates a tonal frequency. There are also, seven colours of the aura, the electromagnetic field.
The element of air, by introducing proper breathing, pranayama, oxygen is transmuted throughout the whole body, which replenishes the cells on a cellular and molecular level. The breath the very sustenance of life, detoxifies the organs , the glands the lymph nodes. Strengthens the heart, the vital organs, alkalinizes the body. It flushes out toxins from the system thus there is less chance for disease, viruses and infection to breed. The breath balances the brain, the left and right sides of it, promotes intelligence and clarity of thought, concentration, focus and intuitive awareness. Deep breathing induces a state of calmness, perception and alertness.
The fire element is in the navel region in martial arts it’s known as the Tan Tien, the Agni power, also known as the second brain this is the house of fire energy. The digestive power the powerhouse for general well being and optimum health. Foods to strengthen and nurture this area are ginger, cardoman, cloves, fennel, oats, quinoa, brown rice, beetroot, mung beans and cinnamon.
Thus, the body is a microcosm of nature and the intrinsic innate elements of the Universe. The initiate will begin to experience the interconnectedness of the whole of creation as themselves. I was truly blessed to see the Buddha in Nature. A view of a Buddhist Monk, he was meditating dressed in robes of russet and ochre. Wrapped around his arm was a wooden mala. His body was lean, strong and robust. From behind was the view of the Monk, the view from the front was the Buddha in deep Sunn Samadhi on top of mountain top.
‘Mountains inspire awe in any human person who has a soul. They remind us of our frailty, our unimportance, of the briefness of our span upon this earth. They touch the heavens, and sail serenely at an altitude beyond even the imaginings of a mere mortal.’ - Elizabeth Aston
When I looked down I could see the whole animal kingdom, a lush jungle and fertile forests with flowing sparkling water, fountains, valleys, rainbows, the sunrise and the sunset in hues of burnt orange, russet and sienna. Such, vivid imagery of majestic, panaromic splendour. An atmosphere of equilibrium and harmony. A silent resonance of deep, deep Interconnectedness, an internal stillness and the sensation of the One thread running through everything, the whole of creation.
The Buddha in the vision is the symbology of what Baba Ji represents. He is a servant of Truth and at the same time a Teacher, a Sant. ‘Human Beings are not the only sangat of a Sant, 8.4 million life forms are also, the sangat of a Sant.’ - Baba Ji
The Sant is a Master and at the same time serves the whole of creation and it’s inhabitants. The Universe, realms and the nether realms. The Sant is constantly and consistently in a meditative state and in a high state of spirituality, Sahaj Awastha regardless of the outwardly circumstances. The Sant is stable and peaceful offers shelter to all. The Sant looks upon all favourably with a generous, heart. The spirit of a Sant is magnanimous and encompassing. The Sant has the ability to transcend any situation. The Sant knows all without a word being spoken. The Sant does not close doors to anyone. The Sant is a Powerhouse of love and compassion. The Sant knows the mysteries of the Cosmos. The Sant has sacrificed all for everyone and everything. Why ? The Sant only sees the Source in everyone and eveything. The Sant’s sustenance, nourishment is only the Primordial Naam. The Sant has all the Divine powers, Super powers, all the jewels, treasures, all the palaces and mansions, all the beautiful gardens. All the overflowing store cupboards, infinite abundance, infinite prosperity. The earth where the Sant walks blossoms, becomes fertile and alive. Those who see the Sant are filled with an unexplainable an unforgettable inner joy and bliss. The Sant is majestic and magnificent. The Sant is totally focused on the Source. The Sant has made manifest within the Body Temple the Divine virtues and attributes. The Sant’s heart centre projects the light of a 1000 shining suns. The Sant is ever beautiful, radiant, luminous sparkling. The Sant is grounded, balanced and centred. The Sant is sublime and serene. The Sant has available to them every spiritual power. The Sant is acknowledged and praised in all the realms. The Sant is saturated, imbibed embued on every level, every cell, every molecule in the Primordial Naam. The Sant is kind and merciful.
The Sant is my Perfect, Whole and Complete Teacher, Baba Ji. Blessed, Blessed, Blessed is the Perfect Teacher and the Perfect Servant, King of Kings, The Buddha in Nature, Baba Ji.
