God Meditates On Himself
Baba Ji: An elderly Sikh asked us (when Baba Ji was dancing in love of God), “What are you doing?” I replied, “we are meditating on God for God.”
He said, “you are talking wrong.”
I said, “if you have not seen God like this (meditating as Baba Ji dancing), you cant be a servant of God. Because you don’t know what God looks like. God can be in a king or a beggar or in a dancer like me.”
I used to put seemingly stupid questions to orthodox Sikhs, but it had all the deep divine meaning as GurBani. I would ask them, “Where is the Guru?” and they would reply, “the Guru is at the Gurdwara.” I’d say, “No, the Guru is sitting right here.” They wouldn’t like that and disagree, “No! How can you be a Guru?” I said, “your mind will not let you believe it, your wordly mind (MunnMat). That’s your problem, not mine.”
Then they would ask, “how can you be a Guru?” To which I’d reply, “the past Gurus were merged in the Divine Light and that same Divine Light is merged in me. You also have the Divine Light in you, but you haven’t got Truth inside you to realise it. You haven’t broken your mind’s doubts and illusions. I am not lying to you, your own mind is lying to yourself.”
So I said to the people, “God meditates on Himself.” But again people didn’t understand so I said “go and listen to the Bani, it says the same thing.”
It’s like this, I received the Naam directly from God. Whoever comes to me asking for the Naam, they are God as well and God in me gives the Naam to God in them. So God is meditating on Himself.
