Sant Serves The Sangat - 9 May 11

9 May 11

BABA JI:

SatNaam Ji Ka Khalsa Satnaam Ji Kee Fateh!

Kirpa Data Dee,

Sangat Sadhu Dee,

Seva Sangat Dee.

Grace is of the Giver,

Company is of the Sant,

Service is of the Sangat.

-         Baba Ji.

The Sadhu (Saint) unites you with God.  His job is serve the sangat, to get the sangat out of its Bharams (false beliefs).

PREETO: How are you Baba Ji?

BABA JI: Everything is fine, just fine. Whatever comes is fine – “Dukh Sukh Eko Jaan – See Pain and Pleasure as one and the same.”  Serve all and say no to no-one (means dont resist giving to others, but say no to ungodly requests).  God will be pleased.  He also asks for nothing, just serves.  He is SatGuru ParBrahm.  He is the Giver of Bhagti to the one who says “I don’t know anything, please give me the gift of Bhagti”.  Then on getting the gift, don’t get proud, stay humble, say again, “I don’t know anything, please teach me how do your Bhagti.”  So He then tells you (from within).  Whatever you ask for He gives it, that is why He is the Giver, Data.   Then if you give everything to Him and just do loving lowly seva and forget all of your wants, then He will give you everything as well.  You have to become Maha-Parupkari – extremely generous, doing good deeds a time will come when all goodness has to overflow from you.  So much so that even GurBani says that the Sant is served by God.  A Sant does not need to use any tricks or manipulate or create situations to deceive the sangat that come to him in order to break them from Maya.  When God Himself is serving the Sant, then what need for tricks? (Using tricks is operating under Maya.)

Keep at your Bhagti, if something pricks your ego, then that is your problem to deal with.  Treat all pains as one, say “all is good”, then nothing pricks you, nothing bothers you as you are not attached to it.  I serve the sangat with no attachment to them, but for them I (SatNaam in Baba Ji) am their greatest attachment.  I am care-free, but yet a completely obedient servant of SatNaam, just dishing out His HUKAM for you as per your destiny.  The truthful acts you do becomes your Karni (deeds).  Just keep obeying the Hukam.  As above so below, (whatever God decides in the spiritual realm, His Sant carries out in the physical realm.)  Whatever He wants you to do, just do it.  I don’t pick and choose what Hukam of his I will or wont obey.  I just do it.  That is how you get out of your own self-wisdom (man-mat) and go into divine wisdom (Gurmat).  Gurmat is the law of the heart. Munmat is the law of the mind.  Love by choice is Maya, but love by Hukam is HIM in your life.   Jesus said, “thy will be done, NOT MINE.”  So say to God, “I am not going to live by my will. I only live in your will now.”

Now if God says to you go and sit in a prostitute’s house, no matter how much they may repulse you, just go and do it.  (Trust that HE knows why He is making you do it and it will be for the best.)   When HE gives you pain (as per Law of Karma He created), you have to go through it all.  You can try and deny it, you can try and run, but that will only be a temporary avoidance, because you will still have to suffer the pain sometime in the future.  (E.g. if someone commits suicide to escape their pain, they will still be reborn and will still face the same pain at a later date, plus all the new karma of having committed suicide.)

Some Sants don’t even ferry across one other person. They don’t even tell their own children or family what they have.  Other Sants may have come to ferry just one other person across. And other Sants maybe here to ferry across the whole world.  No matter how many people the Sant ferried across, God is happy with His Sant and will cause the Sant to be praised in the world, even after they have left their body.  But as a devotee don’t get attached to these praises of the past Sant-Gurus. Appreciate what they did, be inspired by them, but don’t get attached to the past Sants, because you will just get proud of their achievements and that will be your blockage.  (E.g. Most people from most  religions are stuck in the past glories thinking their founder is the greatest.)

Just stay as the lowest in this world then you are recognised in God’s court.  The one who knows this Divine Law stays lowest in this world.   The one who understands this divine law never stops serving others.  That energy generated in serving others is called love.  Then whatever comes your way is beautiful.  The best way of living is to ask for one pain every single day.

All Gurus and Sants where never in MOH (attachment) of their family.  (Just look at Guru Nanak Dev ji, when he got the Hukam to serve the world he left his wife and two young kids and parents.  Guru Angad Dev ji left his followers to become a devotee of Baba Nanak Ji.  The first three Guru’s gave the Guru-ship to someone outside of their family.  Guru Arjun Dev ji got the Hukam and left his family to sit on the hot plate and show the power of Puran Sat in this world.   Guru Tegh Bahadur ji did the same and Guru Gobind Singh sent his two older sons into a battle that would see them killed.)   But, now the ones giving spiritual teachings and regarding themselves as Sants have not given up MOH of their family, that is called PAKHAND – hypocrisy.  Don’t put family first.  (Dassan Dass ji told us: put God and Guru first, serving Sangat second and family and everyone else after that.)  If you are praying, doing Ardas, for your family, asking for Maya for them, then you are denying God.  Your munmat is keeping you stuck in your family, or your caste, or your religion.  You are appearing as a Sant only on the outside, but are actually PAKHANDI – hypocrite.

Everyone who is praying to their Guru for Maya (worldly things) for their family are all in pain.  On this path you are supposed to be drinking the pain of the sangat, so stay in Truth, stay as the lowest in service.  See all outside activities as garbage.  God is the simplicity of the heart, no the complexity of the mind.  When you operate under the law of the mind, love shrinks, God disappears and the heart shrivels and dies.

Just keep praying, “meree mat thoree ram – I have little wisdom”  and let go of all your attachments (MOH) of my family, my caste, my religion and so on.

Ishq (deep, mad love for the beloved) is far, we did it, we jumped in His Hukam and we are in Anand.  Love is acceptance and service of Truth.  Love is embedded in Truth.  Those who say “I am in love”  but then don’t actually follow this with doing the Truth are PAKHANDI – hypocrites (saying one things doing another).

Just remember first and foremost:

HIS WILL ONLY.

NOTHING IS MINE.

MAY NO-ONE KNOW MY NAME

(KOEE NAO NA JAANAY MERA – Baba Nanak).

The Bhagat is an extremist.  He takes his love for God to the extreme.  If you can’t love God to the extreme, you (ego) can’t die whilst alive.  Bhagti is loving God to the extreme in everything you do.   When your Guru is pleased with you and sees you too are now a Sant, then he will send you out to spread the Naam.  But, even away from your Guru, your humbleness is to give all praise back to your Guru, not to break away.  No matter how high you fly in spiritual realms, your humbleness in this world is to sit in the gutter whilst the sangat climbs over your back to get out.   (Guru Amar Das ji created 150 Sants, about 50 were women, and sent them all over India to spread the Naam.  However, by the time of the tenth Guru, the Masands who were now sitting in the lineage of these Sants all over India, had become completely corrupt.  Guru Gobind Singh Ji sent the Singhs to pull them by their beards and drag them into his presence.  They were all severely punished, it is written (not sure how true it is) that they were thrown in a well with oil poured over them and burnt to death such was the severity of their crime, that in the name of the Guru the sangat was being robbed and cheated and mislead.)

The Sangat belongs to SatNaam, not me.  But, whoever comes to me has it already written on their forehead.  I didn’t steal the sangat from anyone.  Even now two Radhasoami devotees are coming to me.  Have I given them Naam and told them to leave their Guru?  Absolutely not.  I teach them to go and bow to their Guru and do the Naam they have been given.  (Baba ji once mentioned that if they themselves ask one day for Naam from Baba ji and want to carry on this way, then that is god talking through them and he doesn’t say no.  But, he never sets out with that intention to poach other sangat for himself. That is Maya way of doing things. Baba ji doesn't desire to build sangat, only to serve whomsover comes to him.)

Deliver God in action.  Action is to do what He wants you to do and you just do it.  The Sant doesn’t manipulate the sangat.  That is Maya.  This is the journey into Truth.

Love to all.

Dandauth bandhna.
