Abortion

2004

Q: Bhaji what does gurbani say on when the soul enters the foetus?

A:  If you ask Yogi Bhajan he says it enters after a few months, hence he never had a problem with a woman having an abortion.

But Sant Baba ji who is guiding me now, says that as soon as conception takes place life is there, and for the next 9 months the soul enters and leaves the foetus.  Bani says the foetus is in smadhi - merged with God, and in smadhi the soul goes out of body to experience merger with God.  Bani says those months are like a yogi doing hard penance in the burninging fire hanging upside down....but the sul remembers God throughout.

Baba ji says that abortion is going against Gods will,  because  Gods will is to give life (janam maran hukam ha) , but your desire - selfish thinking - wants to kill it.   And law of karma means that the doctor who aborts say 200 foetuses is hurting 200 souls ,  and that doctor will be reborn 200 times to be aborted himself.  Karma gives you back exactly what you have sown.

The soul can be small as an atom, or expand as large as the universe.  Soul is God Light inside you, it your life force.  so it makes sense as soon as conception happens that someith is making it grow, that something is God's Light - the soul energy.

Here are some quotes for Gurbani showing that our soul is alive in the womb from the beginning.  That it is God’s command, His play, we enter into the womb if we didn’t give up our desires in the past lives. That the womb is like a hellish-pit in which our soul is upside down dowing deep meditation.   Also that in many lifetimes we did not make it out of the womb alive – were aborted (naturally or by humans).  And ultimately, the pain of being endlessly reincarnated through the womb only ends when God gives His grace and we finish the journey of our soul.

By the Hukam of the Lord's Command, you enter into the womb. 74

Through desire, people are cast into the womb and reborn.   61

He saves us from the hellish pit of the womb,

and carries us across the terrifying world-ocean. 210

The mother nourishes the fetus in the womb,

hoping for a son. 165

O man, when you were coiled in the cradle of the womb,

upside-down, you were absorbed in meditation. 93

In so many incarnations,

you were aborted in the womb; 176

By the True Lord's Glance of Grace.

That person does not have to

go through the fire of the womb again.  19.
