Dandouth Parvaan Karni Jee,

We were listening to Sukh Sagar radio late last night where a Sant was doing some kathaa (forgive us we do not know his name). He was saying some really good things, we cannot remember all that he said, but one of the things that stayed with us is:

'...the path that we walk is very steep, VERY steep and for us to make this journey up this steep mountain we must 'travel light'. We must leave many things behind for us to make this journey, and that includes religion - for HE is the one without religion.'

We thought this gyaan coming through a sant who would be seen as a mainstream Sikhi sant very refreshing to hear.

Once someone phoned in to tell sant ji that they were thinking about keeping their hair but wanted to know how this would benefit them spiritually to which Sant ji replied 'there are many different sects and maryadas in Sikhi where some say you can do this where others say otherwise. I do not want to get into panthic debates, my concern is only with the gyaan of Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee' - which basically sums it all up in that SGGS is the only maryada worth worrying about.

Another thing Sant jee said last night was: '...a farmer likes to comment about how much land he owns and is proud in doing so, at which point the Earth laughs and says 'hey silly man, I do not belong to you, it is you that belong to ME - for when you die your body will return to me.' - I guess the other part of me (my soul) belongs to God, so what can I say is 'MINE', truth is, is that there is no such thing as MINE. All is YOU - Tu Hee Tu Hee

Namjeevan jee spoke with Baba Jee this afternoon where Dhan Dhan Baba jee explained that there is a big difference between self pity and nimrata. In self pity we tend to say things like 'I haven't got this' or 'I'm so poor' etc, whereas to be in nimarta is to be in CHARDEE KALLA always and to say 'I have everything because I live in HIS Hukam' and 'I have HIS Naam'.

So Baba jee said that when he says 'Enjoy life' he doesn't mean to enjoy it lavishly with expensive gifts, but to enjoy it by living every moment in HIS (God's) hukam - that is the TRUE way to enjoy one's life.

Dhan Dhan Raam Piaarey, may my head always be at their holy holy feet.

Sada SATnaam
