Seeing Without Eyes

Guru Ram Das ji writes on SGGS 983 that he sees the world without his eyes :

nij ghar jaae a(n)mrith ras peeaa bin nainaa jagath nihaarae ||7||

I came back to the home of my own inner self;

drinking in the ambrosial essence,

 I see the world, without my eyes. ||7||

Baba Ji told me that once he got back from doing hours of seva and simran at the gurdwara and was just relaxing on the sofa at home. The TV was on in the background and Baba Ji had the TV remote in his hand. His kids came in to the room and said "Dad we didnt know you knew Chinese!" There was a Chinese channel on. Baba ji said "O yeah , thanks".

The kids came back half an hour later and "Hey Dad - you're still watching
the Chinese channel!'.

Baba Ji said that people think he is watching the TV, but actually he is in 24 hr permament smadhi. And the TV maybe on, but no one knows that he is doing "Amrit Abhiaas" - "filtering the Amrit" and distributing it wherever needed.

Baba ji said once in the early days of his bhagati that he was flicking thru TV channels with his finger on the remote. He could see the channels changing, then he realised that his eyes were closed. But he could see everything!

Baba Ji also said it makes no difference to him to watch TV or not. Because the wonderful world of things we are watching on the TV, he is also seeing another wonderful world of things inside his inner eye. .... TV for the inner eye!!
